Presbyopial (the need for reading glasses)
People who are presbyopic only need to wear glases when they are reading. Their distance vision is normal. Often people confuse hyperopia (farsightedness) and prebyopia (the need for reading glasses). Farsighted people have blurred distance and near vision and must wear glasses or contacts all the time for clear vision.Presbyopia is caused by a decline in accomodation (the eyes ability to thicken the lens increasing its power to bend light rays). Presbyopia usually becomes apparent by the age of 45 years.
