Dr. Ann Madden

Dr. Ann Madden is a South Bend, IN native, who attended Clay High School and went on to Indiana University in Bloomington for both her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Optometry. Her clinical training included rotations in ocular disease at Veterans Administration hospitals in Montrose, NY and Pensacola, FL. She is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Upon graduation in May 2000 she practiced in a successful commercial practice in Elkhart, IN where she specialized in contact lenses and primary care optometry. She received the National Innovation in Contact Lenses award in 2004 and has often lectured to her colleagues about new technology contact lenses and practice management.

She joined Boling Laser Center in June 2005 and currently practices full-scope medical optometry, which includes treatment for glaucoma and other ocular diseases, and pre and post-operative surgical care for LASIK and cataracts.

Dr. Madden is also a part-time faculty member at The Vision Care Institute in Jacksonville, FL where she teaches communications and technical skills to 4th year Optometry students and Ophthalmology residents.

Dr. Madden is passionate about striving for excellence in patient care and thoroughly enjoys practicing Optometry. She is devoted to her husband, Martin, and their two infant daughters, Eleanor and Evelyn.
