Dr. Richard C. Boling II joined his father in the family practice in 1986 where together they have provided state-of- the-art eyecare to Michiana for over 45 years. Dr. Boling II was the first to perform No needle, No stitch, No patch cararact surgery in the area. He has performed over 13,000 cataract procedures. He was the first to bring refractive surgery to Michiana when he started performing radial keratotomy in 1990. In 1995 he became the first surgeon in the area to perform PRK, laser vision correction. He continued to be a pioneer as an Investigator in two FDA clinical studies researching LASIK protocols. He has performed over 10,000 LASIK procedures.

Dr. Boling II attended DePauw University for his undergraduate studies in premed. He attended Indiana University School of Medicine to earn his doctorate degree . He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Dr. Boling was board certified in October of 1986.

Dr. Boling specializes in No needle No patch No stitch cataract surgery, Intralase LASIK, cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and the management of glaucoma, diabetic and macular degenerative eye disease. He also provides routine eyecare for all ages.

Dr. Boling believes in maintaining state-of-theart technology and techniques at Boling Vision Center. He regulary attends continuing education courses in techniques for cataract surgery with implant, LASIK and the management of eye disease.

Dr. Boling resides in Elkhart with his wife of 27 years, Babette, and their 5 daughters: Ashley, Whitney, Hayley, MacKenzie and Ronisha.

Dr. Boling maintains office hours in Elkhart, Mishawaka, and Goshen.
